• Communications: messages or feedback you submit through our contact form.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, approximate session timestamps, and page-view counts (aggregated, not linked to individuals).
• Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for full details.
• IP address and browser information: collected by our hosting provider (DreamHost) for security and operational purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Providing the Service: to create and manage your account, display schedules, send assignment notifications, and process subscription payments.
• Communications: to send you email notifications related to your Torah reading or davening assignments, congregation announcements, and account status.
• Security: to detect and prevent unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse.
• Analytics: with your consent, to understand how the Application is used and improve its features (via Google Analytics — see Section 4).

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service you have signed up for.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics (property ID: G-ZMVMEW6PZ6) to collect anonymized usage data. Google Analytics sets cookies (see Cookie Policy) and may transfer data to Google LLC servers in the United States. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time by clicking "Decline" on our cookie banner.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect our registration and contact forms from automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. This processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed through a third-party payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers; we receive only a confirmation that payment was successfully completed.

Hosting

This Application is hosted by DreamHost, LLC. DreamHost processes server-level data (including IP addresses and access logs) as a data processor acting on our behalf.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may disclose personal information:

• to service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, analytics) under appropriate data processing agreements;
• to your congregation's administrators, who have access to member scheduling data within their congregation account;
• when required by law, court order, or a governmental authority;
• to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Owner, Users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at admin@itorah.life and we will delete that information.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including password hashing, HTTPS encryption, and daily data backups. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
